Description: Maximum-intensity projections of a time-lapse recording of a developing embryo expressing Nxk2.5-Cre; R26mT/mG. The embryo develops over 25 hours through the formation of the cardiac crescent to a linear heart tube that begins to loop (approximately E7.5 to E8.5 in embryonic day, from the EB/MB to 5-6 somite stage). Cells expressing Nkx2.5-Cre express a myristoylated-eGFP and can be visualized not only in the cardiogenic mesoderm but in the endoderm overlying the heart field, as well as in angio
