I have always thrived on spontaneity, so when I had an unexpected break pop-up in my work schedule at the end of June, my spontaneous self practically burst with excitement. Why not get on a plane and go somewhere fun, I thought to myself. Without much planning time (7 days), I settled on Mexico. Never really a destination I'd dreamt of going but somehow it fit with the mood I was in - yes, I really needed a beach getaway and some time frolicking in the water.
