The German and French defence ministers made the announcement during a ceremony in Paris on April 26. The ministers also signed an MoU that seals a 50-50 split in the industrial production of the advanced battle tank dubbed the MGCS. The push to move ahead with the project came as Berlin and Paris were eager to show unity after a series of rows on how to support Ukraine.
