Description: Crews have begun removing shipping containers from the ship Dali that struck the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore. Removing the containers will allow access to the section of roadway that collapsed and is now resting on the ship's bow. This is a critical step to safely moving the ship, removing bridge debris, and eventually fully reopening the Fort McHenry Channel. Removing the bridge pieces from the ship will lessen weight and ultimately allow the ship to be moved. Officials aim to open a temporary one-way shipping lane by the end of April and restore full port operations by the end of May.
