_alpine-cup-2024-the-edition-of-92.webp "The fourth edition of the Coppa delle Alpi by 1000 Miglia is underway: this afternoon, in Trieste, the technical and sporting checks will take place in Piazza Unità d'Italia, from where the regularity race for cars built up until 1990 will start tomorrow morning which includes 90 Timed Trials for over 1,600 km.<br/><br/>The 5-stage Grand Tour will cross the entire Alpine arc from East to West, from Trieste to Courmayeur, crossing the borders of 7 nations: 1000 Miglia presents The Great Alpine Journey, a path of reflection parallel to the race aimed at representing the socio-economic transformations , anthropological and environmental aspects that cross the Alpine macroregion. To make the competitors an active part of the project, the number of cars competing has been limited to 30, flanked by a further 8 cars which will host reference experts on the macro-themes addressed.<br/><br/>During stops along the route, the experts will meet local institutions and examples of Best Practice, encouraging exchanges and sharing experiences. The sum of these contributions collected over the 5 days will be presented in a final conference, scheduled for Saturday 4 May in Courmayeur.")

Curated by Abby Chen, Yuan’s project merges video art with a domestic ambiance, reflecting on contemporary life’s challenges and hidden threats. The centerpiece, the exhibition’s eponymous work “Everyday War,” depicts a domestic space transforming amid warplanes, symbolizing the evolving nature of conflict.<br/><br/>Yuan Goang-Ming’s work blurs the line between video art and film, exploring themes like “home” and “uncanny futures”. The artist grew up in Taiwan and studied media art in Germany. In the 1990s he established himself as one of Taiwan’s leading new-media artists. The exhibition at the Palazzo delle Prigioni around the corner of Piazza San Marco features Yuan’s works “Everyday Maneuver”, “The 561st Hour of Occupation”, “What lies Beyond Us?”, “Dwelling”, “Everyday War”, “Prophecy”, and “Flat World”.
