Description: On Friday, March 21, 2014, UM's Shark Research & Conservation Program conducted a shark research trip off of Miami, Florida. The team was fortunate enough to catch three male great hammerhead sharks. The first shark appeared to be in strong enough condition to attach a temporary satellite tag. This custom designed satellite tag will allow our scientists to record position, depth and acceleration of the animal for up to two years.
