Sinds 2019 is Tom een van onze psychosociaal hulpverleners. Tom helpt mensen in vluchtelingenkampen in Benue. Ook verleent hij zorg aan kinderen met de ziekte noma in ons kinderziekenhuis in Sokoto. Ze worden vaak gepest en buitengesloten, doordat deze ziekte hun gezicht ernstig aantast. Tijdens therapiesessies danst en zingt hij met de kinderen, zodat ze eindelijk weer even ontspannen.
